About ABHJA

Arabian-bred horses and ponies have long been making their mark in Hunter and Jumper competitions both at Open and Breed shows. The Arabian blood in these horses and ponies is largely the contributing factor in their success in the showring. While not everyone is openly acknowledging their heritage, these hunters and jumpers tend to make believers out of even the biggest skeptics!

The promotion and marketing of these Arabian-bred horses and ponies, both through this website and other means will be a top priority.

In recent years, as the Hunter/Jumper classes become more popular at breed shows, it has become apparent that there is a great need to allow these divisions to expand and evolve.

The ABHJA community has many constructve ideas on how to accomplish these goals. First, we teamed up with Guardian Arabian Horse eClub for affiliation with the Arabian Horse Association in order to incorporate our collective voices to institute a dialogue regarding rule changes at AHA recognized shows. Then, we succeeded in electing one of our members to serve as chair for the H/J Committee. We succeeded in authoring 7 Resolutions and getting them voted in at Convention in November.
